This article aims at making a comparative analysis between the poets Allen Ginsberg and Chacal by discussing their poems “America” and “América Amem”, from the books Howl (1955) and América (1975), respectively. The comparison of their poetry is based on the concept of Technocracy, given by Theodore Roszak in his book The Making of a Counter Culture. Thereby, two contexts are exposed to the analyses of two different generations: the Beat Generation and the Mimeograph Generation.
